Will the stylish film actor Allu Arjun campaign for the TRS in the ensuing elections?. This question gained importance in the wake of the actor’s father-in-law Shekar Reddy managing to secure the TRS ticket for contesting the Ibrahimpatnam Assembly seat.
Shekar Reddy, an industrialist, claimed that he had participated in the agitation for Telangana state and had even organized pada yatras and seminar in this connection. He expressed happiness that like many other Telanganitges, he too was happy for Telangana State becoming a reality.
Aserting that he was impressed with the way in which TRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao had steered the Telangana movement and also his policies enunciated in the TRS election manifesto. Hence he opted to join the pink party and was grateful to KCR for admitting and giving him the party tickedt.
Being the father-in-law of Allu Arjun, it is obvious that he would have the support from his son-in-law in the campaign. And thus it cannot be ruled out that the filmstar might also be utilized by the TRS to campaign on behalf of the party in the elections.(NSS)
