Kollam (Kerala), Jun 14: Claiming that there was a deliberate attempt to implicate its leader Abdul Nasser Madani in cases outside the state, PDP today said it will fight any move to arrest him in connection with the 2008 Bangalore blasts.
“The PDP will move a petition before the Bangalore sessions court tomorrow seeking anticipatory bail for Madani,” party working chairman Poonthura Siraj told reporters here.
Madani was chargesheeted as the 31st accused in the blasts case by the Bangalore police on Friday on the basis of information elicited during interrogation of suspected Lashkar operative T Nazir, the prime accused in the case.
Siraj said that party activists led by its vice-president Varkala Rajan will also hold an indefinite fast at the party headquarters Anwarssery from Wednesday.
