I will even beg rather than joining TRS: DK Aruna

Congress party senior leader and former minister DK Aruna has made it clear that she would not join the ruling party under any circumstances. “I will even become a beggar if the situation arises but I won’t join TRS party”, she affirmed.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, DK Aruna said she would stick to political values. The ruling party was throwing democratic values to the winds, she said and alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was resorting to murky politics by disturbing families. She demanded her brother and Makthal MLA Chittem Rammohan Reddy, who joined TRS party on Wednesday, to tender his resignation to his MLA post immediately. She has thrown a challenge to KCR to make Chittem Rammohan Reddy to tender his resignation as MLA.

She also said her father late Chittem Narsi Reddy was a politician of high principles and democratic values. “My father Narsi Reddy’s soul will weep with Rammohan Reddy’s decision”, she said, adding that Rammohan Reddy brought disgrace to the family by joining the ruling party unscrupulously. She made it clear that not a single party worker went along with Rammohan Reddy. (NSS)
