“It is highly shameful on the part of Union minister and AICC general secretary in-charge of State Congress Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad to say that YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would have become Union Minister and Chief Minister had he been patient and remained in the Congress.”
Speaking to the media here on Monday, TDP MLC YVB Rajendra Prasad asked Azad whether the Congress party would have made Jagan a Union Minister and Chief Minister even though he had illegally earned one lakh crores of rupees if he remained in the Congress party.
“Will Congress party keep a plunderer, who looted the poor farmers, on its head if he remains loyal to Sonia Gandhi and Congress party?”, he asked, adding that the Jagan Congress and Sonia Congress were branches of the same poisonous Congress tree. He also asked Nabi Ghulam Azad whether the Congress High Command was ready to make Jagan Mohan Reddy a Union minister or chief minister of the State if he returned to the Congress party. He demanded that Azad give a direct answer to the people of the State.
The TDP leader alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy walked out of the Congress when he had differences with the Congress high command over the share of the booty. Azad has blurted out the truth with or without knowing, he added. He alleged that the AICC leader had dealt a severe blow to the self-respect of Telugus by saying that Kiran Kumar Reddy would not have become Chief Minister had Jagan Mohan Reddy remained in the Congress.
“How Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy could sit beside Ghulam Nabi Azad in the election meetings when the latter dubbed him a fake currency note? Kiran Kumar Reddy should immediately resign from chief minister post if he has any self-respect”, he demanded. He said that TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s allegation that “Congress was a party of robbers and YSRCP was a party of dacoits” has proved cent per cent correct. He also asserted that the TDP alone can fulfill the aspirations of the people and toil for the welfare of the people. (NSS)
