New Delhi, October 04: In a move that is bound to add to the woes of the Congress, activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday announced his decision to begin a national tour after Dusshera.
“I will appeal to voters in poll-bound Hisar in Haryana not to vote for Congress as it deliberately did not pass the Jan Lokpal Bill,” Hazare told media persons in his village Ralegan Siddhi.
Hazare will also tour poll-bound states to garner support for the Jan Lokpal Bill and apprise them about the Congress’s hesitation in passing the bill. Justifying his decision to virtually campaign against the Congress, Hazare said the party was responsible for the Jan Lokpal Bill not being passed.
Emphasising that he had nothing against the ruling party, the activist warned that he will visit Uttar Pradesh, scheduled to go to polls in 2012, to urge the people against voting for the Congress.
