Will AP TET be conducted on Feb. 9?

Though AP TET should be conducted on February 9 as scheduled, there is a chance of further postponement of the examination due to APNGOs call for bandh from the midnight of February 5. No one knows how many days the bandh will continue.

Official announcement on the AP TET has not been announced. But the Collectors of some districts sent a report to the higher officials of AP TET management, stating that it will be difficult to conduct the examination due to bandh.

Till now, AP TET was postponed twice due to different reasons. Registration for the examination has already been closed and admits cards were released to the candidates. Candidates, who have applied for the examination were seriously preparing for the examinations. AP TET was being conducted in 1975 centers in the State. It consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper II. Candidates, who want to teach Class I to Class V, they have to write Paper I & candidates, who want to teach Class VI to VIII, they have to write Paper II. Some of the candidates are interested to write both Papers I & Paper II.
Several candidates are eagerly waiting for the examinations as lakhs of people depend on this examination for bright teaching future. As per estimations, over five lakh students are depending on the examination to pave the way towards the teaching career. Importance for this examination is increasing as even in the private schools TET qualification has become essential to teach children. (NSS)
