Lucknow UP: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on Sunday said that they would abide by the Supreme Court’s decision on the Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir dispute matter.
Talking to the media, a member of the AIMPLB said, “We will go by the Supreme Court’s order on Babri-Ayodhya matter.”
Earlier, the Supreme Court suggested of an out-of-court settlement of the Ayodhya dispute and said aggrieved parties should keep in mind its “sensitivity” while discussing the matter.
“These are issues of religion and sentiments. These are issues where all the parties can sit together and arrive at a consensual decision to end the dispute. All of you may sit together and hold a cordial meeting,” said the apex court.
The observations came after BJP leader Subramanian Swamy mentioned the matter seeking urgent hearing. Stating that it has been over six years, Swamy said the matter needs to be heard at the earliest. (ANI)
