American golfer John Daly was reportedly filmed smashing a drive with a female friend teeing up the ball in her mouth. Despite going without a win on the PGA Tour for over a decade, 47-year-old Daly, also known as the sport”s ”bad boy”, showed that he has still got the skills to match it with the best after performing the stunt.
According to News.com.au, although the woman, Katherine Michelle, appeared shaken after the stunt, however, she defended the incident after copping some criticism, saying that she would trust Daly with her life. A two-time major winner, Daly is a cult hero in the sport due his much-publicised eating, drinking and smoking habits, his tendency to ignore course etiquette and his ”go hard or go home” attitude which earned him the nickname ”Wild Thing”. However, the golfer has not been a competitive force on any tour for some time after shooting his worst ever score at a professional tournament, a woeful 90 off-the-stick, at the Valspar Championship last month, the report added.
