Wife’s addiction to mobile phone drives man to suicide

Depressed over his wife constantly talking over cell phone, a daily wager ended his life.

The deceased, A Ramakrishna, 26, took the extreme by jumping in front of a train between Shivrampally and Falaknuma stations on Friday night. Enquiries by the Kachiguda Railway Police revealed that Ramakrishna, a resident of Shivrampally, had a love marriage with a girl about two years ago. However, Lakhsmi left him after about six months of marriage and remained out of touch for almost one year. He searched for her and brought her back home about six months ago.

However, Ramakrishna started suspecting her fidelity due to her habit of talking over cell phone. On Thursday he picked up an argument with his wife over the issue. After a few hours, his wife left home by taking away Rs 40,000 cash and a mobile phone. Police suspect that Ramakrishna might have committed suicide due to his strained relationship with his wife and her behaviour. (INN)
