Why Shah Rukh expresses love for Pak, asks Thackeray

Mumbai, February 15: Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray today questioned actor Shah Rukh Khan’s love for Pakistan and maintained that his party was not opposed to the movie ‘My Name Is Khan’.

“We are not against the movie. But why should its actor Shah Rukh Khan express love towards Pakistan, which was created by dividing our country,” Thackeray asked, addressing party workers through videoconferencing in suburban Bandra here.

“I never opposed the movie. However, some Congressmen supported Shah Rukh and his movie,” he said.

The actor has come in the line of fire from Sena for lamenting the exclusion of Pakistani cricketers from IPL-3.

Thackeray also questioned the demand for a separate Vidarbha.

“Four chief ministers, several ministers and MPs have represented Vidarbha. Why did development not take place then. So what is the need for a separate Vidarbha now,” he posed.
