Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof. Kodandaram has said they had accepted Section-8 as there was no other option at that time. “If they think cash-for-vote case is farce, they can approach the court”, Kodandram said, adding that what is the relation between Section-8 and cash-for-vote case? They (TDP leaders) are demanding implementation of Section 8 just to escape from the case, he added.
Meanwhile, Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya said there was no need of Centre’s interference. He suggested that both chief ministers of Telangana and AP sit across table and resolve the issues and problems. Governor E S L Narasimhan is keeping an eye on cash-for-vote case, phone-tapping, Section-8 and other issues and he would resolve them, Dattatreya hoped. (NSS)
