Why is KVP not being questioned: VH

Senior Congress leader and MP V Hanumantha Rao has questioned the CBI as to why it was not questioning Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao, who claimed to be the soul of late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy when the latter was alive.

VH met the Governor ESL Narasimhan here on Saturday and congratulated him for getting extension for another five years.

Talking to the media later, VH said that he did not understand why the CBI, which was questioning even the ministers, had so far not questioned KVP, who played a key role in decisions making during the YSR rule. He said that he was happy that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was now strongly criticizing the YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, contrary to his earlier stand. He said that if Kiran Kumar Reddy had done this long back, Jagan would not have come this far.

Hanumantha Rao said that it was strange that there was no repentance in Jagan for all the irregularities he had committed. Referring to the controversy kicked up by the YSRC on the investments made by Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s brother Sridhar in Sakshi, VH said it was time for Rajagopal to extend cooperation to the CBI and expose Jagan’s irregularities.

On the Tirupati episode, VH said he would launch a silent agitation against desecration of the Tirumala temple by Jagan, on May 31 at Tirumala. When asked if there would be any law and order problem when Jagan attends the court on May 28, he said if there was any such problem, the DGP would take care of it. (NSS)
