Ahmed Bashar AMU student attributes the situation to lack of leadership in the Muslim community. Another AMU student Athar Ahmed says Muslim leaders want to get votes using Muslim issues but fail to represent their thoughts; they represent their own thinking.
Nayla Khan AMU student observes Muslims are not that victimised as propagated. Yusra Khan AMU student feels that Muslim women are getting uplifted. Tauheed Khan says he never felt discriminated though he was the only Muslim student in his class.
Neelesh Misra feels it is the lack of education among Muslims which is the main reason behind their backwardness. He says, according to the 2011 Census Muslims account for the most number of uneducated Indians. He laments that the community that believes in scripture that preaches importance of education and the first word revealed in the Quran Sharif was ‘Read’, such a community is lagging behind in education.
