The relatives of the victims who have been arrested by the police have been asking questions to their leaders as to why did they make false promises?. The sister of a victim asked the local MLA that why did he fail to get her brother released from jail.
When the ladies had staged dharna at D.C.P office, MLA had given an assurance that he had already spoken to higher police officials and after some time, the arrested youths would be released. After giving the assurance, these leaders went away and before going they advised those ladies to go home.
The innocent youths were kept in police custody throughout Friday night and they were produced in court yesterday. The magistrate gave them in judicial custody and they were sent to Cherlapally jail.
Did the leaders represent for sending them to jail?. A woman told that had the leaders not given them false assurance, they would have staged dharna in front of D.C.P office throughout the night. Six youths were released on personal bonds.
Another woman told that her son was arrested two days back. The leaders of a political party had assured her that her son would be released. Now they are asking her to arrange for security deposit for releasing him.
