Hyderabad, May 3: Who shot Akber Owaisi? Police has started examining the statement given by Mohammad bin Omer al Yafai who is allegedly a part of attack conspiracy.
According to reliable sources during interrogation by the police Mohammad Pahalwan stated that he was not in the city at the time of attack and was going to Sangareddy.
Police is examining his movement through cell phone tower so that it could be known that where he was at the time of attack.
According to sources police has reached to the conclusion that Abdullah Yafai has a licensed rifle. However the revolver with which Akbar Owaisi was shot is not registered with the police stations. The 0.32 revolver which the police seized from the place of crime was not issued for any licensed person, which raises the questions that then which revolver was used to shoot Akbar Owaisi? And who shot at him? Whether the assailant used illegal weapon?
On the other hand the local corporator told police that Abdullah Yafai shot at the MLA with a revolver and he used it when the MLA was trying to protect himself from the lethal weapon attack.
