White House Chief of Staff Rahm on India holiday

New Delhi, Dec 16: White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel arrives in India with his family on a nearly-two-week Christmas vacation this Saturday.

Besides New Delhi, Emanuel and his family will visit the Corbett National Park, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur in what could double as a scout-around trip before President Barack Obama’s visit to India.

Emanuel, a close aide of Obama’s, has strong opinions on most subjects, which are sometimes at variance with the President’s own views. He is believed to have left quite an impression on the Indian delegation during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s recent visit to the US.
