Patna, December 26: Addressing the second RSS meeting in less than three months in Bihar, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said terrorism and separatism were the results of erosion of Hinduism.
“Wherever there is lack of Hindus and Hinduism, terrorism grows,” he said, adding that a unified and casteless Hindu society was the cure to all problems such as terrorism, separatism and Naxalism.
Bhagwat, who is on a three-day tour of Bihar, was addressing over 15,000 people at Gandhi Maidan during his felicitation function by the Sangh’s Bihar cadre. In early October, the RSS had held a three-day meeting of its highest body in Rajgir.
The Sangh’s growing interest in Bihar was apparent from the presence of all top Bihar BJP leaders at Friday’s meeting, including Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, ministers Nandkishore Yadav, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Ramnarain Mandal and Giriraj Singh, and state BJP president and Lok Sabha MP Radhamohan Singh.
Bhagwat alleged that both Naxals and separatists were linked to Pakistan’s ISI. He also accused the Centre of “lack of military preparedness” despite China’s aggressive posturing and despite Beijing “befriending Nepal, Pakistan and trying to make inroads into Arunachal Pradesh”.
“Shall we wait for their marzi (will) to launch an offensive against us?” asked the RSS chief.
He said the RSS would not take double standards over illegal migration. He asked why when they criticised infiltration from Bangladesh and Pakistan to India, people called the RSS “communal”, “but when Pakistan and Bangladesh drive away minority Hindus from there, nobody wants to talk”.
