Where was the need for CAB? Prof. Akhtarul Wasey asks

New Delhi: President of Maulana Azad University Jodhpur and Professor emeritus of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Akhtarul Wasey shows great concern on the issues pertaining to Muslim Ummah.

Reacting to the presentation of CAB in Parliament, Prof. Akhtarul Wasey asked that ‘where was the need for this bill?’.

India has been accepting the non-Muslims from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan earlier.

He pointed out that in Myanmar and Sri Lanka, Muslims and the Hindus are being tortured on the basis of their religion. By passing CAB, the dignity of the country is tarnished, Prof. Wasey said.
