Where has the historical tablet of Charminar gone?

Charminar has been facing the bigoted attitude of various governments, government officials, department of Archaeology and politicians since 1950 & 60. In 1349 Asif Jahi Kingdom had issued a special stamp on Charminar. Qutub Shahi rulers and later Asif Jahi rulers paid special attention towards the safeguard and refurbishment of Charminar. But since the merger of Hyderabad in the Indian Union Charminar has been neglected like other historical monuments.

When the first department of archaeology was formed Asif Jah VII appointed Dr. Ghulam Yazdani as its first director. He served for 30 years as the director of archaeology department. Dr. Ghulam Yazdani also paid special attention towards the protection of Charminar and installed a big tablet outside the historical monument, which clearly stated both in English and Urdu languages “Under provision of the ancient monuments act of 1337 F any person who damages or destroys this monument shall be liable to imprisonment which may extend to three months, or fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or both.”

The notice was signed by Maulvi Ghulam Yazdani and BA. The question arises where has the historical tablet gone? On whose orders the tablet has been removed? The matter needs investigations and the facts must be brought to light.
