When men rule the colour blocking trend

New Delhi [India]: After being wrapped in layers for the winters, it’s time to shed some of them and adapt to summer trends and colours.

This is the season where an experiment with your clothes is a must.

For the coming Spring Summer, here’s a trend that you can carry anywhere and everywhere – Colour Blocking.

Rohan Khattar, Founder, Minizmo gives different ways to carry a colour block trend.

•Keep it casual: To bring in a change to your daily casual wear, sport a colour block shirt and pair it up with your linen pants or your daily cheenos to bring in a comfortable look for summers. This new look will not just make you look different but will bring in the style statement for your daily outings.

•Be a little formal: Setting a new trend to your formal wear is very important, carrying a colour-block shirt to your office may be a new trend to follow; a white plain shirt with a stroke of blue matched up with your blue pants can be an ice breaker to your daily routines of striped shirts or the basic checkered shirts.

•Calls for a party: Trying on different styles for your special dinner dates or a crazy party with friends, now going with a plain black shirt should never be an option. For a smart look, pair up your jeans or bottoms with dark coloured shirts with a colour blocking of dark textures, like pick up a black shirt which has a colour block of purple or to make up to the party carry a blue shirt with a colour block of orange to feel more stylish.

•Take it for travel: Having the best clothes for your travel is a must, but taking along the regulars doesn’t justify the travel pictures. Carrying something different like a colour-block striped shirt paired up with your shorts just makes you travel ready and at the same time gives you a style statement.

Colour Blocking has always been a trend in the industry, but carrying it with everything is something not possible. Keep the colour patterns in mind and always try to pair the right bottoms with your shirts, be it a casual shirt or your oxfords keeping them loose or tucking them in is both depends on the type of bottoms you are wearing.
