New Delhi: The ‘Delete for everyone’ feature on WhatsApp has been modified with respect to the time limit where users can revoke messages.
A window of 13 hours, 8 minutes and 16 seconds is now modified to revoke a message according to a report published in WABetaInfo, New Indian Express reported.
It simply ensures that all members of a conversation receive the revoke request for a message within the set time limit before the message can be revoked.
Simply put, all members should accept the revoke request in a conversation before the delete for everyone feature can work within the stipulated time of 13 hours, 8 minutes and 16 seconds limit.
So what does it mean? This feature has been updated for everyone for if in any case they have not received the revoke request due to no connection or network issues or any other issue, simply put, the message will ‘not’ be revoked unless the users come online.
The delete for everyone feature introduced last year had a window limit of 7 minutes for single and 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds for group messages.
Recently, the WhatsApp experienced bug issues which led to users phones crash, after the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) experienced crashes through malicious accounts.
Now the giant networking app has confirmed bug fixes for Android and iOS and also suggested that users should not completely rely on WhatsApp for video calling.
