New Delhi [India]: WhatsApp messenger, the cross-platform instant messaging platform, announced the launch of its two-step verification procedure for all users, on Friday.
Two-step verification is an optional feature that adds more security to your account. When you have the feature enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit pass code that you choose.
In order to enable this new feature, users can log into the settings option and look for the ‘Two-step verification’ category, which is available under the ‘Account’ setting. Through this, the user can enable the new feature, which will be accessible across Android, Windows and iOS software.
In November 2016, WhatsApp’s video calling feature was launched, which gained instant popularity. In addition to voice calls, WhatsApp enabled a video-call ing option which works even on low connectivity and minimum data usage. Users have the option of send and receive messages even during the call. All calls made, like messages, are encrypted end-to-end. (ANI)
