San Francisco: Facebook-owned WhatsApp is yet again introducing new features namely Private Replies and Picture-in-Picture on its beta version and WhatsApp Web number 2.7315.
The other app versions 2.17.424, 2.17.436 and 2.17.437 also has new features like Tap to unblock a recipient, sending invites through a link which of course is already in use in India along with shake feature to report.
The new features introduced are:
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode: This feature will enable you to multi-task while staying on video call which was not available earlier. A new icon prompts providing the user to switch to the picture mode which starts a new window enabling to resize the video window.
Private replies in groups: This feature will enable the user to reply privately to a particular person in the group which is not displayed to other group members.
New invite via link shortcut: The invite link feature is already in use in India which enables the group admins to send group invites to the users via links.
Tap to unblock user: This feature enables the user to unblock any contact by simply tapping and holding the contact to send a message.
Shake to report: Now this is an interesting feature introduced to report WhatsApp issues by just shaking the device which opens Contact Us section of the app.
