New Delhi: WhatsApp, Facebook-owned popular messaging app has around 400 million users in India. The app regularly rolls out new features to make it more user-friendly.
Recently, it has rolled out a “Fingerprint lock” feature for its Android beta users. This feature is available on 2.19.221, the latest version of WhatsApp.
Following are some of the new exciting features of the app:
Fingerprint lock
It enables fingerprint authentication to unlock WhatsApp.
By default, the feature will be in disable mode. It can be enabled manually.
Steps to enable it:
Step 1: Tap on three dots on the top right of the app.
Step 2: Select ‘setting’ from the list.
Step 3: Select the ‘account’ option.
Step 4: Tap on the ‘privacy’ option.
Step 5: Finally, select the ‘fingerprint lock’ option to enable the feature.
Frequently forward:
‘Frequently forward’ tag is to inform the user that messages that have been forwarded more than five times.
Consecutive voice messages
This feature is useful for users who have a habit of sending voice messages. Now, they don’t have to go back to play next voice messages as multiple voice messages sent at once can be played consecutively.
Group invitation:
Many WhatsApp users are vexed up with the messages in unnecessary groups. For such users, this feature is very useful. Now, they can decide if anyone or only their contacts or none can add them to WhatsApp groups. If nobody option is selected, the user will get group invitation notification which expires in 72 hours.
