New Delhi : Popular instant messaging service WhatsApp is expected to add some new features like a ‘call back’ feature soon which would allow users to call back friends with just a tap of button without opening the app.
The messaging service is also expected to bring voicemail feature to iOS platform. With this feature, WhatsApp would allow users to record and send voicemails to contacts.
Recently WhatsApp introduced the long awaited end-to-end encryption to all users, instant messaging and Voice over IP (VoIP) app for smartphones to protect texts and calls from ‘interception’.
Based in Mountain View, California, WhatsApp Inc.was acquired by Facebook Inc. on February 19, 2014, for approximately USD 19.3 billion.
As of February 2016, WhatsApp had a user base of one billion, making it the most popular messaging application. (ANI)
