Hyderabad, November 15: Tirupati MLA Chiranjeevi has received a call from Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday. He is preparing to leave to Delhi on Wednesday.
Never did Chiranjeevi meet Sonia alone in a one-to-one meeting after he merged his PRP in Congress. As Sonia was unwell, Chiranjeevi entered Congress in her absence. It is heard that Sonia who returned after her recovery from USA, has responded to the request of Chiranjeevi for audience.
Though roumers have been doing the rounds since a long time that he would be accommodated in the central cabinet, it has so far not materialized. Chiranjeevi has recently made an open offer that he would take any post offered by Congress. This is deviation from his earlier stand of taking only central cabinet post. In this backdrop, the call received by Chiranjeevi from Madam has attained significance. It should be watched if he would come back as a minister or with empty hands as happened in the past.
