What is it that KCR ties on his arm? the CM explained

HYDERABAD: During a public meeting in Nirmal, Telangan Chief Minister and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao talks about Imam-e-zameen that he wears regularly on his right arm.

Speaking to the people at TRS Praja Ashirvada Sabha, KCR explained about ‘Imam-e-Zaman’, the traditional cloth he wears on arm and popularised it. Addressing the gathering, KCR said that people call it as ‘datti’ without knowing when it is ‘patti’ and said that all religions should be tied together.

“It is actually ‘Imam-e-Zaman’,” he said. He said the Prophet Muhammad‘s (PBUH) son-in-law had seen a man ready to slaughter a deer, but stopped him. He told him that the deer was trying to convey that she had a baby and wanted to feed milk and return. The man was surprised. He, however, agreed to let the deer go after tying a piece of cloth to its leg. The Prophet’s (PBUH) son-in-law sat with the man and offered himself to be slaughtered if the deer did not return. When the deer did return, the man was surprised.

“The ‘Imam-e-Zaman’ is tied wishing safety. By seeing me others are also tying it. But some who don’t understand the meaning also tie it to their neck even I also tie it to my neck,” he said, Times Of India reported.
