On the occasion of foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building of 62 year old Unani hospital at Mustaidpura on July10, 2010, Health minister D Nagendra had announced that the historical Unani hospital will consist 30 beds but the announcement has not been put into practice till date.
It must be noted that Hakeem Muneeruddin, the grandson of Mustaid Yar Jang, donated his residence spread on 1070 sqyds, for establishment of Unani hospital nearly 64 years ago. It’s good that the new building has been constructed and inaugurated on March 3, 2012 but without a single bed contrary to the promise made by health minister. The local MLA who was present at the time of announcement made by health minister should remind the health minister of his promise.
