Hooghly: Unrequited love usually has lethal endings and one such incident is reported from West Bengal’s Hooghly district where a jilted love reportedly killed a 35-year-old woman.
The accused identified as Sheikh Sultan reportedly barged into Tushar Chakraborty and shot his daughter Shubhalagna dead, Hans reported.
According to initial reports, the accused was in a relationship with the girl after she visited their relatives house in Uttarpara.
However, the two broke up for some reasons but they continued to stay in touch.
Things went out of hand when the accused learned about Shubhalagan was getting married to someone else.
The accused also assaulted the victim’s parents who were admitted to Uttarpara State General Hospital.
The Police filed a case against the accused and arrested him.
