Johannesburg : Following Arsenal’s goalless draw against Southampton in their Premier League clash, team manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that they are now playing ‘catch-up’ in the title race.
With the draw, Arsenal have gone 270 minutes and 34 shots in the league without scoring and are five points behind surprise leaders Leicester City.
Wenger admitted that his side are finding difficulty in playing away matches and, therefore, called on the team to respond quickly in order to turn the things around, Sport24 reported.
Wenger, who has come under pressure after Leicester City’s another win, insisted that his side need to focus on their game and have to win their next match in order to remain in the title race.
Echoing similar concerns, forward Olivier Giroud called on his side to remain positive and try to get as much points as they could to get back on the track.
Arsenal, who are currently placed fourth in the league standings, will next play against Bournemouth on February 7.(ANI)
