Well-knit conspiracy to target Hindu leaders: Singhal

Bhopal, December 20: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has said that there was a well-knit conspiracy under which religious leaders of the community were being targeted, insulted and linked with terrorism.

“There was a well-knit conspiracy under which Hindu religious leaders were being targeted, insulted and linked with terrorism,” VHP International President Ashok Singhal said at a function here yesterday.

Slamming Rahul Gandhi for his comments that Hindu radical groups were “bigger threat” than outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Singhal said, “Rahul is not fit to lead the country as he had equated the RSS with Lashkar-e-Taiba.”

The VHP leader also criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party general secretary Digvijay Singh.
