Telangana TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao today said the people would present Warangal Lok Sabha seat as a gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to the mediapersons along with Revuri Prakash Reddy and Kothakota Dayakar Reddy at NTR Bhavan here on Saturday, Errabelli demanded that the TRS ministers explain what the State government did for the welfare of the farmers in the State. Alleging that the government remained indifferent though his party was agitating over the problems of farmers since last onr year, Errabelli said the incident of a distressed farmer Kondaiah hurling a slipper at Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari proves the farmers were totally fed up with the criminal negligence of the TRS government. He lamented that there was no response from the TRS government even after they met the Governor and State government over the plight of the farmers.
While the farmers reeled under power crisis in the first year of the TRS government, in the second year, the farmers faced drought conditions. Yet, the government did not bother to declare a list of drought affected districts in the State. The TDP leaders also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who stayed for three days in the national capital also failed to apprise Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the grim situation in the State, but concentrated on wooing a TDP MP into his party.
The TDP leaders also asked the farmers to emulate Kondaiah and accost the ministers and TRS legislators and teach a lesson by hurling footwear against them. They also warned that if the government dared to send Kondaiah to jail, they would launch an agitation.
Another TDP leader Revuri Prakash Reddy said so far 1,845 farmers resorted to suicides due to the apathy of the Chief Minister. The distressed farmers and unemployed youth would teach a fitting lesson the TRS government with votes. (NSS)
