Director General of Police V. Dinesh Reddy, today released the Compendium on Welfare in AP Police and also launched it on A.P. Police Portal.
This is the first time that any State Police Force has published a Compendium on welfare measures in Police in the country. Speaking on the occasion, the DGP highlighted the importance of welfare in enhancing the morale and efficiency of the Police Force and lauded the State government for the measures taken by it for the welfare for AP Police. The DGP underlined some of the new measures being undertaken for the welfare of AP Police personnel which included launch of Central Police Canteens in 12 districts and renovation of Police Boys’ Hostel meant for the children of deceased Police personnel and implementation of ECS for online transfer of loans to Police personnel.
The DGP also outlined a few welfare measures for the future, which include construction of a Guest House for the constabulary and SI to DSP rank at Tirumala at a cost of Rs 3 crores, construction of a Rest House for Police Women and establishment of a Computer Centre for Police children at CPL Amberpet.
