Johannesburg: Substitute Danny Welbeck scored a stunning header in the final seconds as Arsenal revived the Premier League title hopes with a pulsating 2-1 win over leaders Leicester City at Emirates Stadium.
Jamie Vardy slotted his 19th goal of the season with a hotly-disputed penalty to put Leicester ahead on the stroke of half-time before fellow substitute Theo Walcott levelled for Arsenal in the 70th minute.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after Danny Simpson’s dismissal, pace setters Leicester looked set for a vital draw before Welbeck scored a header in the 95th minute following a Mesut Ozil’s free-kick on his return after 10 months out with a serious knee injury, Sport24 reported.
With the win, Arsenal reduced the gap between the two sides to two points. (ANI)
