Washington D.C., Dec. 10: After bagging a handful of Grammy nominations, The Weeknd is now being sued for ripping off music.
A British music publishing company has filed a lawsuit against the 25-year-old singer and his team claiming that he ripped off the musical composition for his hit single ‘ The Hills’ from a track by composer Tom Raybould, which was used for the 2013 movie ‘The Machine,’ reports E! Online.
In the suit, Cutting Edge Music (Holding) Limited has alleged that the ‘Often’ hit-maker copyrighted musical composition of an original song, titled ‘Revolution’ on the soundtrack album and ‘Revolution Sequence.’
However, The Weeknd has not given any comments on the issue. (ANI)
