Wedding ceremony of prominent Hyderabadi’s children in Minneapolis

Jibran Ahmed of New York and Nabeela Fatima Siddiqui of Minneapolis, both children of prominent Hyderabadi – American families were married in a simple and elegant ceremony in Minneapolis on Sunday August 26. Waleema will be in New York on September 2nd.

Jibran, who is a final year medical student is the son of prominent human rights activists, Seemi Ahmed, founding board member of Burma Task Force USA and New York State co-chair of Muslim Peace Coalition USA and Habeeb Uddin Ahmed, Human Rights Commissioner of Nassau County and son of late Dr. Ahmeduddin Mohammed, former Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry. The Ahmeds are active in fighting Islamophobia.

Nabeela is the daughter of Seema Siddiqui and Murtuza Tahseen Siddiqui who is the son of Dr. Abul Hasan Siddiqui the well known physician from Hyderabad.

Jibran’s maternal grandmother Mrs. Naseem Ahmed wife of Mr. Ghouse Uddin Ahmed came from Hyderabad. Prominent American Muslim leaders and Hyderabadi Americans attended the wedding along with family members and blessed the newlyweds.
