Sending a positive message, a 22-year-old orphan girl and a salesman, both HIV positive,tied the nuptial knot at a unique match-making event here today.
People in large numbers, including Jaipur MP Mahesh Joshi, attended the wedding at a rehabilitation centre for HIV
positive people.
“It is a very unique and special event which has sent a positive message to society,” Joshi told PTI.
The wedding, organised by social organisations — Pahal and the Rajasthan Network of People Living with HIV Positive
— was solemnised in a traditional manner.
The two came together through efforts of the Rajasthan Network of People.
“We want to live a life with dignity for which my family supported me. I hope the wedding will send a good
message,” the boy, who belongs to Brahmin community, said.
