Hyderabad, Nov.10 (NSS): A news story in www.rediff.com on Wednesday
stating that the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, may be shifted as
Governor has become a hot topic in the power and political circles.
Hyderabad, November 11: The story has created sensation in the State. The political leaders, including the Congress party, evinced more interest in the story and searched for it.
According to the story, “Mr Rosaiah may be shifted as Governor of Karnataka or Madhya Pradesh on account of his fragile health.
Highly-placed political sources in Delhi also confirmed such a move and also confirmed that Mr Rosaiah has been alerted on Wednesday morning about his possible shift to a Raj Bhavan considering his fragile health. New Delhi has given him an option.
Mr Rosaiah appreciated the stand of the party and also knows his predicament. Mr Rosaiah has given good administration for the past one year — effectively handling the flood situation, politically containing Jagan Mohan Reddy and violence in the Telangana region.
Shifting of Mr Rosaiah would mean a new chief minister for Andhra Pradesh, most likely by mid-November, party sources claimed.”
On the other side, news also trickled that the party high command reprimanded Mr Rosaiah for his “cheap talk and behaviour about a respectable guest Mr Bill Clinton at a media conference on Tuesday.
CONGRESS CONDEMNS STORY
Meanwhile, reacting on the news story, the Congress high command in New Delhi condemned it and made it clear that the story was not correct. It also informed that the focus would be laid on the Andhra Pradesh affairs after the Maharashtra issue settled down.
