Weaker sections of this country are still forced to struggle to get their rights. All the leaders of the country dream to have the development of the country whenever they remember the architect of the constitution of India, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. At that time, they also remember people. These leaders try to tempt the weaker sections before elections.
Vice President of TDP, Mr. E. Peddi Reddy told this on the occasion of the birthday celebration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar held at NTR Trust Bhavan, Banjara Hills yesterday. He told that Dr. Ambedkar had dreamt of the progress of the weaker sections. Even after 60 years, his dream has not come true. Its main reason is that the governments have failed to check irregularities and corruption in the country. He told that it is the responsibility of the Govt. to eradicate corruption. When Govt. it self is involved in corruption, it becomes impossible to think of the welfare of the people.
He told that the steps taken during TDP rule are unforgettable. Soon after assuming power. Congress Govt. failed to fulfill the promises it had made in its election manifesto. Criticizing the Central Govt. Mr. Reddy said that all the Central leaders are engaged in looting the Govt. treasury. He informed that TDP has prepared a special plan for the development of weaker sections. In addition to it, the scheme of categorization of SC’s and ST’s is also ready.
He blamed the Congress Govt. and said that it failed to give the appropriate place to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He cited an example of the installation of Dr. Ambedkar’s statue in AP Assembly which is still pending. He stressed the need for TDP to assume power if the country wants to progress. He alleged that instead of eradicating corruption, Govt. is engaged in saving the corrupt persons which tantamount to shattering the constitution of India into pieces.
