Yet again the fastidious Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy defying party high command said he would ensure defeat of the Telangana Draft Bill when it comes to the Assembly beginning from December 12. He suggested to the Centre to rethink on its decision which will hamper the interests of both regions.
Addressing a public meeting at Vijyawada after nationalizing Dr K L Rao Pulichintala Project constructed at a cost of Rs 1800 crores with 46 tmc in Guntur district here, the Chief Minister asked why the Centre was ignoring the peoples movement in Seemandhra against State bifurcation. He attributed the bifurcation to the whims and fancies of KCR, Jagan and Naidu.
The Chief Minister reiterated that they will put in all efforts to prevent bifurcation process. “We will defeat the draft bill in the Assembly and prevent the bill from getting passed in Parliament, come what may”, he added. He dared the Centre as to how it will go forward to divide the State which was witnessing a continuous development as the government is committed for the welfare of the poor and farming community through various schemes. Bifurcation will result in a great loss to both regions in terms of river water sharing, power, resources, jobs, education and shifting of two lakh employees, pensioners face problems, the Centre has to rethink.
