Mumbai, April 25: Event management company IMG, which is conducting Indian Premier League for the BCCI, today said they have co-operated with the Indian tax authorities, probing the funding of the T20 tournament, and will continue to do so.
The IMG statement came in the wake of controversy surrounding the tournament, a spokesman of the company said.
“Our company has built an outstanding reputation and brand around the globe and in India over the course of our 50 year history. We are proud of the work we have done on behalf of the BCCI in respect of IPL.
“We have cooperated fully with the Indian tax authorities and will continue to do so in every appropriate way,” the spokesman said.
“IMG was initially awarded a ten-season contract by the BCCI ‘to conceptualize and implement the IPL.
