TDP president and Chief Minister-designate N Chandrababu Naidu today said party’s victory in the recent general elections was dedicated to Telugu people and party activists.
The TDP supremo was addressing 33rd annual Mahanadu of TDP organized at Gandipet. Mahanadu is being organized at a time when TDP achieved landslide victory in the Seemandhra region. The party had launched welfare programs 30 years ago and it was the TDP which had fought constantly against the Congress party, he added.
Stating that the aim of TDP was to have a corruption-free nation, Naidu emphasized the need to eliminate corruption in government departments which will leader to elimination of poverty. He also said that he brought to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the need of a movement to make India corruption-free.
Referring indirectly to YSRCP, Naidu said some people entered into politics after earning easy money and were polluting politics. After going through the woes of farmers, “We announced waiving off their loans and his party always would help them, TDP chief said, adding that whether they are in power or the Opposition, we always worked for people’s welfare”, Naidu added. He also said that his party would work for a social Telangana and it will emerge victorious in 2019 in Telangana region, he added.
The TDP chief said the Seemandhra region would be developed into Swarnandhra. During floods in Krishna and Uttarkhand, TDP was ahead in extending help to the affected people. TDP would take responsibility to protect every one belonging to Seemandhra, who are staying in Hyderabad. Party’s victory is a like a festival of Telugu people, he added.
Naidu said it was party workers, who worked hard for the victory of TDP. He said TDP has credibility at national level. It was TDP which brought name and fame to Hyderabad city. During the regime of the party “we provided basic facilities, drinking water and water for irrigation”.
The chief minister-elect said the Congress had to face drubbing in the elections due to its inefficient leadership. “I will take responsibility of construction of a memorial in memory of late prime minister P V Narasimha Rao at Delhi.
