We lost but there were many positives for team: Dhoni

‘We were disappointed about the defeat, nut there were lost of positives for the team in the match’, Team India skipper M S Dhoni said after losing the second T20 match against New Zealand here today by just one run chasing a 167 run target. Answering questions at the post match press conference, Dhoni said he was happy that Yuvraj Singh, who is also a utility bowler, had batted and fielded well on his return to the squad after his illness. ‘It was a big game for Yuvi. He gives us the right kind of balance in the side’, Dhoni observed. He said Yuvraj could chip in with one or two overs for the team which has four strike bowlers. ‘The fifth bowler will be the ones like him(Yuvraj)’, he added. Dhoni said he thought that the bowlers bowled well today in the run up to the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka next week. ‘Virat batted well, it was good to see Yuvraj. We couldn’t win. But in a format like this you can’t say what would happen’, the Indian captain averred. Asked why the team could not win, Dhoni said in jest ‘we could not score one run. That’s why we lost.’ ‘Yuvraj and me should have finished off the game. But it is difficult to bat down the order’, he said, adding he thought it was right to bring in Rohit Sharma after Yuvraj fell, as he was a big hitter although not in the best of his form. Dhoni said he was happy that pacer L Balaji had also bowled will in the match. The team has to find a balance in its bowling, he added. UNI
