We are encouraged when the coins are dropped in our bowl: a fraud beggar

Hyderabad, September 3: Readers! I went to Makkah masjid to offer Jummatul vida prayer. I saw a beggar whose age may be around 55 years. He was dressed in a shirt and wore beard and had a two year old girl in his lap who was in deep sleep.

People were groping in their pockets to give some money to the beggar thinking that the innocent little girl might have become frail due to hunger. May be she has fainted.

Coincidentally I offered Eid prayer at Eidgah and shocked to see the same man asking for alms. I thought the voice is somewhat familiar to me then I remembered that I had seen him at Makkah masjid in the same situation.

I decided to talk to him but he was reluctant to answer. I asked him what relation he has with this girl. He said she was his grand daughter her mother has expired. When I asked him you had collected a considerable amount at Makkah masjid 5 days ago then why she is still hungry. He had nothing to say. I tired to wake up the girl but in vain. The traffic police man performing his duty nearby said you can find a number of such people in the city who make the children drink some medicine which makes them unconscious. They cheat people and collect money. Listening to this conversation the fraud beggar fled away.

A physically challenged beggar who was sitting there said “I saw that beggar giving that girl something to drink from a bottle. I don’t know what the bottle contained but the girl fell asleep after drinking the medicine. This is their daily routine.”

Readers just think what will happen to the innocent girl who is forced to drink a medicine daily. What side-effects will it have? A shocking revelation was also disclosed that these innocent kids do not belong to the beggars.

Aren’t those who give alms to such fraud beggars responsible for rise in such fraud beggary? If they don’t give alms may be the fraud beggars switch to some other work.
