TDP MLA Dulipala Narendra on Monday said all people, who sincerely wanted development of new Andhra Pradesh, stand behind TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Moving the motion to thank Governor ESL Narsimhan for addressing the joint session of the legislature, Narendra said Chandrababu Naidu waged a relentless struggle on the issues of the farmers when he was the Leader of the Opposition. He also led agitation to protect the interests of the State. When Naidu was in the Opposition, he strove to protect the interests of the people, he added.
“Naidu launched padayatra at the age of 65 years to protect the interests of the State. The “mindless” policies of the previous Congress government created hardship to all sections of the people”, Narendra alleged. He said Naidu has great responsibility after bifurcation of the State. “We should work together and take the State on development path”, he added.
The YSR Congress Party members took objection when Narendra mentioned about Brahmini Steels in his speech. Strongly reacting to it, Leader of the Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy felt it was not proper to attribute wrong intentions to the former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He also objected to the mention the name of a person, who was not present in the House. “The Opposition would support the government if it does good things”, he added.
Countering Jagan, Narendra clarified that he was not talking about personal life of any one. He again insisted for an inquiry into the all land allocations by the earlier Congress government to private firms. “I am just mentioning the irregular decisions and land allocations of the earlier Congress government”, he added.
