In view of the sinking water level, the water board has installed pumpsets at Osman Sagar reservoir on Sunday. These pumpsets have been installed at the time when the water level has dropped down to 1771.5 ft. Water cannot be hauled out till the water level is not dropped to 1765 ft.
The water board has installed a pumpset of 50p and has kept another 3 pumpsets ready. It has been said that at present there is no need of pumping at Himayat Sagar.
9 million gallon water is being diverted from Krishna water project. Meanwhile Osman Sagar authorities have kept a keen eye on the standard of drinking water.
Authorities have said that the quality is fine till now and there is nothing to worry about.
