The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Tuesday seized as many as 29 electrical water motors which were used for drawing water from Board’s pipeline illegally.
The seizure was made during water supply hours, i.e. from 11.30am to 1.00 pm by the Board’s Task Force Team under O&M Div – II, i.e. Balagunj, Lal Darwaza, Mahankali Temple and Badam-ki-Masjid.
Further Director, Revenue & UFW observed that some consumers were reconnecting their water connections even though their water connection status in Board records were shown as disconnected, for the reasons of non-payment of water dues. The matter will be looked seriously and stern action will be taken by filing police cases against them, he said. (INN)
