Water Board chief asks officials to monitor water supply complaints

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director Dr. B. Janarhdan Reddy had reviewed with all Directors, regarding status of water supplies including quality issues in HMWSSB.

The Managing Director instructed the Directors to monitor water supply complaints regularly. He also instructed that in case of breakdowns, steps shall be taken to intimate Residents Welfare Associations regarding the water supply interruptions. He also instructed General Manager (E), Quality Assurance & Testing wing to take the signatures of the consumers along with phone numbers wherever sample is taken for testing in the field to ensure public participation for more accountability. He also instructed the Directors to closely monitor pollution water complaints and Dial-a-Tanker complaints and see that these complaints are redressed at the earliest possible time to improve the service delivery of the Board.
