A 45-year-old company watchman was bludgeoned to death allegedly by a villager, who then set the victim afire and dumped him in a drain in Vasai here, police said today.
API Sunil Soste of Valiv Police Station said accused Pradeep Senapati beat watchman Srikrishna Dwivedi to death over a long-pending dispute and then poured kerosene on his body and set him ablaze yesterday.
