S R Nagar police received a complaint from G.Nukaraju (40) an Businessman R/o First Floor Smarina Heights of Madhuranagar, Hyderabad on May 6, that on May 5, 2014 at about 10.30 hours his mother Durgalamma (58) an Government Employee in Electricity Office at GTS Colony left the house and did not return. He searched for her at all probable places but could not trace. On May 6, at 0530 hours the apartment watchman Sanyasi Rao knock the flat door and informed that his mother was died and lying in front of backside gate and shifted to parking place. He rushed to the parking place and found his mother was died and she was having injury on her throat and blood come out from ear and nose. Her gold chain (Two rows), Four Bangles, finger ring and ear rings were missing from her mother. S R Nagar police registered a case murder for gain under sections 302, 379 IPC was registered by N.Shankar Detective Inspector of Police and he took up investigation.
During the course of investigation the N.Shankar started investigation and made discreet efforts to detect this case. On May 7, 2014 at 12 noon he arrested the apartment watchman P. Sanyasi Rao (32) at Smarina Heights, Madhuranagar N/o Kothur (v), Rollugunta (M) of Visakhapatnam District and thoroughly interrogated. The said watchman voluntarily admitted to have involved in this case and further stated that he is native of Visakhapatnam, he is working as watchman at Smarina Heights at Madhuranagar since (10) years, he is in debts since few months. He wants to gain easy money by committing thefts. On May 5, 2014 around 11 A M. he found Durgamma R/o Flat no 102 of same apartments returned from her office. On the plea to take her to flat in 1st Floor with pre-plan he pushed 3rd floor button in the lift. He took her in to vacant Flat No 301. He strangulated her with saree fem, then committed theft of gold ornaments from her body, concealed stolen property in the bath room. He preserved dead body in the said flat till night. On 5/6 May, 2014 around 1 A M. he shifted dead body from 3rd floor to ground floor through lift. Around 5.30 A M he himself informed to the complainant that her mother was found lying in the ground floor. Police recovered stolen property intact i.e. Two Gold chains, Four Gold Bangles, Two ear tops and 1 Ring all Weighing about 12 tulas Gold and all Worth Rs. 3. 60 lakhs and being produced before the Hon’ble Court.
